The player’s code of honor
· A player must always think that his success is the result of his given efforts
· A player must always think that his teammates are counting on him
· A player must remember to play how he has practiced
· A player must keep a professional attitude and to respect his ‘entourage’ on and off the field
· A player must keep in mind that he represents a serious and winning association
· A player must keep in mind that his attitude and the condition of his equipment reflects a disciplined team
· A player must perform in class like he does on the football field
· A player must be prepared for the worst but hope for the best
· The only place a player can find the word ‘success’ is before the word ‘work’ is in the dictionary
The volunteer’s code of honor
· The volunteer must remember that he/she represents a winning and serious team
· A volunteer should proudly represent the association
· A volunteer should always keep a positive attitude
· A volunteer must remember, that while he ‘wears the associations colors’ he/she is representing.
· A volunteer respects his adversaries and the officials
· A volunteer does not use profane language
· A volunteer must remember that he is setting an example for our young players
· A volunteer is not to smoke on the field where the players are practicing or having a game
· A volunteer should hold respect to the members and to the association.
· A volunteer is to apply the training he’s received
Code of Honor of a Viking parent
· A parent should always be present for the practices and games
· A parent should always remember that his player is NOT a professional but that he’s playing football for the pleasure of the game
· A parent should remind his player to give the very best of himself, and that that is what is more important than winning
· A parent should congratulate his player for his team spirit and his perseverance
· A parent should always encourage his player to respect the rules
· A parent should not ridicule or scream after his player because he’s made a mistake or if a game is lost
· A parent should keep the ‘spirit’ as our players learn by example
· A parent is not to use hurtful words during an association activity
· A parent should respect the coaches and should address them with respect
· A parent should respect the rulings and decisions of the officials
· A parent should respect our adversaries, as without them, we would not be having the game
· A parent should be against the use of violence is every way, shape and form
