Sueren Pazooki Mehr (aka pee-wee)
(11 yo) 2nd year mosquito
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Sueren, but everyone
calls me PEEWEE
I was asked to say a few words about my experience this season with
the Ile Bizard Vikings.
I'm very happy to say that it has been great! Playing with my
teammates in the regular season and the play-offs was amazing.
I would like to let you know that I learned many things, especially
what it means to be part of a team.
As some of you know, I had a few pounds to lose in order to play with
the mosquitoes.
When I was running around the track at the weigh-in, my teammates
came to run with me, to encourage me to go on. That was when I felt
that I really belonged to a team. Thanks everyone.
I also learned how to work better and not give up, no matter how hard
it got, to keep going until I reached my goal.
I have learned to be thankful for water! To drink a lot of it,
especially after running around in a garbage bag and not being able
to drink or eat for a full day.
Most importantly, and I think I can say this for all Viking players,
THANKS MOM, for the swimming lessons they really paid off.
A lot of our games were played in what seemed like a lake, like our
final game against the Lasalle Warriors.
Now I have improved a lot in running, tackling and in push ups.
I have had a lot of good times this year especially when I made some
sacks and when defence made the touchdowns and fumble recoveries.
My only bad experience was when the other team won the game. The semi
finals defeat was pretty hard to take, we were so close to getting to
play at Molson Stadium.
Otherwise this was the best team and sport I have ever played.
I would like to thank my coaches for teaching me everything they know
about football and for motivating me to lose 23 pounds.
No matter where I end up in football, I will always remember my 1St
year playing with the Vikings and my coaches, andre for always
wearing his shorts no matter what the weather was like and Coach
Ferguson for never shouting to loudly.
Lastly I would like to thank all the parents and friends of the
Vikings for coming to our games and showing us your support.
Thank You and go Vikings!!!!
